A Montgomery man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder and attempted murder charges in connection with a 2020 shooting.
Demarcus Parker pleaded guilty to the murder of Tyler Price and the attempted murder of Natalie Gibson, District Attorney Azzie Oliver said.
In the early morning hours of April 25, 2020, Parker drove from Montgomery to Gibson’s home in the Grady community, which is about 25 miles south of the city, Oliver said. When he arrived he saw and shot Price, then fired rounds into the house, striking Gibson in the back. Her children were also inside the home at the time of the shooting but were unharmed.
