Mt. Juliet Police mourns death of ‘deeply admired’ former chief

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Mt. Juliet Police Department is mourning the death of its former chief, Charles McCrary, who died on Friday, April 25, at the age of 87.

McCrary served the Wilson County community for 29 years, beginning as a deputy with the county’s sheriff department in 1973.

Years later, he joined MJPD and became the second chief of police in the city’s history…
