Two hospitalized after mercury spill in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Two people were hurt after being exposed to mercury on Sunday in Montgomery County, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters responded at 9:30 a.m. to reports of mercury exposure in the 1400 block of Poplar Run Drive.

Four displaced after powerline falls, sparks electrical fire

An initial investigation determined a thermometer had broken inside a house, causing a small mercury spill.
