Houston, Texas just had an incredibly rough weekend with multiple shootings reported across the metro as the violence continued into the early morning hours today. Normally, it is during holiday weekends that a surge in attacks occurs, but clusters of elevated crime is bound to happen from time to time.
One of my favorite phrases that I say to not just my three children, but anytime there are a group of people acting foolishly is, “Can we please just not?” I happily encourage other parents, or people in a position of influence to please borrow the mantra, and lead others to make smarter decisions because it is so easy to not commit violence.
