Many Lafayette residents on Thursday morning were stranded in flooded homes due to heavy rain and flooding that also led to impassible streets.
The flooding briefly made 23 roads impassable in Lafayette on Thursday, and according to officials with Lafayette Consolidated Government, between 4 and 8 inches of rain fell in a short period of time.
