National Ave. neighbors might have started a movement to reduce single-serve alcohol sales

Like many Milwaukee neighborhoods, Clark Square and Silver City have a litter problem. But when neighbors noticed it was of a particularly variety — single-use alcohol cans and bottles — plus saw other alcohol-related problems in the area, they decided to do something about it.

Their efforts resulted in one family voluntarily reducing the sale of such drinks at their two conveniences stores on National Avenue, and they might have started a movement for neighborhood groups on Milwaukee’s south side to implement similar initiatives in their communities.
