Thomasville man charged with death by distribution related to February 2024 death: Sheriff’s Office

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Thomasville man was arrested Monday on charges of death by distribution related to the death of a person in February 2024, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.

Back in February 2024, deputies with the sheriff’s office were called to a residence in Davidson County, where they found a person dead of a suspected drug overdose. A toxicology report and autopsy confirmed the person died of fentanyl toxicity.

The Sheriff’s Office said that during a lengthy investigation, it determined that Malik Devon Ratliff of Thomasville “distributed the narcotics to the adult victim.”…
