The Standard received an email last week from Media Relations for the Sheriff’s Office, Paulette Redman. She wrote, “Our K-9 continues to serve and protect our county well. On Saturday, April 12 Deputies responded to a residence off Old Hwy.79.Adomestic that had turned violent when the male subject assaulted and choked a female subject and threatened to kill her. The male subject, later found to be one Mickey Arp, fled into the woods before deputies arrived.” According to Redman, Sgt. Charles Fisher deployed K-9 Borys and picked up a track. The dog, Fisher and Lt. Robbie MacDonald tracked the subject about one mile through the woods.
