NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police officers were involved in a high-speed chase overnight that reportedly lasted over an hour through various Nashville neighborhoods.
According to authorities, the chase began after a car failed to pull over for multiple traffic stop attempts. The first traffic stop was attempted around 10:40 p.m. Monday, though officials did not specify the reason it was initiated.
Law enforcement reportedly tried to stop the driver, 23-year-old Zaciah Calbert, four times at the following locations:
- Smith Springs Road and Bell Road
- Anderson Road and Bell Road
- Hobson Pike
- Heiman Street and Dr. DB Todd Jr. Boulevard
After the fourth stop was evaded, a Metro police helicopter was deployed to track the car. Court documents said the suspect fled at speeds reaching 136 mph on an interstate and numerous side roads while the vehicle’s lights were shut off.
