NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A man arrested while on probation will spend more than eight years in prison for trafficking fentanyl.
28-year-old Brian Jones Jr. was sentenced on Friday, April 25, 2025 to eight years and 10 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice, between November 2023 and January 2024, Jones Jr. distributed a total of 159.93 grams of fentanyl during controlled purchases conducted by the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) and the DEA. …
