Febreze, freon bandit sought after alleged Family Dollar theft in Florida

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (WFLA) — A bandit with a strong preference for freshness is accused of stealing from a Family Dollar store in Florida last week.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an unidentified man who entered the store located at 3500 Avenue D in Fort Pierce on Thursday afternoon carrying a plastic garbage.

Deputies said for the next 22 minutes, the bandit discreetly took two bottles of Febreze Ustoppable Touch Fabric Spray, two bottles of Febreze Downy April Fresh Fabric Softener, three cans of A/C car refrigerant and a Vaultz personal lock box.

“The suspect appears to have a strong preference for freshness, temperature control, and personal security, but no interest in lawful purchasing,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post .

The bandit is described as a man between the ages of 30 and 40 years old, with short hair and a slim build. He was seen wearing a white plaid shirt, a white undershirt, blue jean shorts and black sandals…
