The Elmwood Correctional Complex has officially wrapped up the first phase of its Camp Realignment Initiative, a project aimed squarely at improving security measures and boosting rehabilitation programs for inmates at the minimum-security facility. The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office confirms that this move is in direct response to a recent uptick in violence within the facility and aims to make more effective use of space and resources. “We’re creating an environment where individuals are supervised according to their needs and have access to more tailored programs,” Sheriff Bob Jonsen told the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
