Family says fatal Hillsborough deputy-involved shooting was unjustified

Early on Wednesday morning, April 23, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a busy Brandon roadway by 9-1-1 callers who reported seeing a man with a rifle, wearing combat style clothing. In minutes,Vincent Tyler Morin, 34 was killed when 3 sheriff’s deputies opened fire on him. Now, his family has hired an attorney, saying deputies had no right to shoot Morin. “They took his constitutional right that he fought to uphold and they took it from him that day. They didn’t even try to talk to him, they yelled at him,” said Deanna Tendrup,” Vincent’s Mother. She say her son grew up in Michigan. ” He was a fun loving kid, kind and caring and just did anything for people if they needed it,” said Tendrup. She says her son played hockey and football and then joined the Army to serve his country. “He served in Afghanistan and Iraq. He served in combat, he was wounded in combat,” said Tendrup.
