Grandscape Alert: Fast N’ Loud Star Opening New Car-Themed Restaurant

Gas Monkey is back and bigger than ever. Richard Rawlings, the world-renowned founder of Dallas-based Gas Monkey Garage and star of Discovery Channel’s Fast N’ Loud , is bringing his newest concept, Gas Monkey Icehouse, to life at Grandscape in The Colony.

Set to open on May 6, the Icehouse marks the return of the iconic Gas Monkey brand — made famous with its classic cars and auto restoration — right in the heart of North Texas.

What To Expect

Located at 4545 Destination Dr., the restaurant and entertainment venue blends Rawlings’ larger-than-life personality with a modern twist on Texas hospitality. A collaboration with Reach Hospitality — the team behind PieTap, Black Tap, Evelyn and The Mexican — Gas Monkey Icehouse promises a high-energy destination for food, drinks and good times.

“It feels like the right time to jump in, knock down the doors, and bring back a flagship Gas Monkey spot to our hometown,” Rawlings said in an official statement. “Grandscape is the perfect location — it’s alive and thriving, featuring unique concepts that make it a one-of-a-kind destination.”

Big Bites and Cold Beer

The menu is built for indulgence. Guests can dig into bold, crowd-pleasing fare like the flying monkey wings tossed in signature Gas Monkey skidmark sauce, garage beer battered chicken tenders made with house-brewed beer, or the smash’d burger with caramelized onions, jalapeños and secret sauce.

The garage pizza lineup includes the over-the-top gorilla pie, piled high with pepperoni, taco meat, bacon, ricotta and spicy honey. Behind the bar, 28 taps pour ice-cold beer, alongside handcrafted cocktails.

A Space Built for Fun and Flavor

Spanning nearly 13,000 square feet, including a sprawling 3,210-square-foot outdoor courtyard, the Icehouse is built for gathering. The venue features seating for 340 guests, two indoor/outdoor bars and a custom neon centerpiece for those who hope to snag a few pics.

An Alamo-inspired façade honors Lone Star pride, while custom furnishings — many built by Gas Monkey Garage from salvaged industrial materials — nod to Rawlings’ signature style…
