Oklahoma City Invites Residents to Code Enforcement Community Meeting for Neighborhood Improvement

Residents of Oklahoma City have an opportunity to take a hands-on role in the improvement of their neighborhoods as the OKC Code Enforcement Division is set to host a community meeting aimed at disseminating information on how to utilize city resources to address local issues. According to a recent announcement, the meeting will take place today, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Will Rogers Garden Exhibition Center located at 3400 NW 36th St.

During the much-anticipated gathering led by Assistant Director of Development Services Christylla Miles residents can expect to gain insight into the inner workings of code enforcement and its impact on community safety and health and also, how to properly report code violations that detract from the well-being of their surroundings. Citing the objectives of the upcoming event, Miles shared that “Residents will learn the process for reporting concerns and be provided with the tools and resources needed to promote a healthy and vibrant community,” in a statement obtained by the City of Oklahoma City’s official website.

The meeting format will include not only Miles’ presentation but also a question-and-answer segment, thereby allotting time for community members to interact directly with city staff and to ask questions relevant to code enforcement and neighborhood concerns.
