Clifton Park woman accused of damaging car with bat in road rage incident

MALTA, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A Clifton Park woman was arrested on Monday following a road rage incident involving a bat, according to New York State Police. Chloe Durkin, 51, faces multiple charges.

At about 7:26 p.m., State Police troopers responded to reports of a woman damaging a car with a bat near Medical Park Drive in Malta, officials said. An investigation found that the altercation was allegedly connected to a road rage incident that occurred on the Northway in Saratoga County.

According to State Police, Durkin followed the victim to Malta, got out of her vehicle with a wooden bat and used the bat to cause more than $1,500 in damage to the victim’s car. Durkin and the victim reportedly did not know each other. The victim was also not injured during the altercation, authorities said.

Durkin was reportedly arrested at the scene and arraigned at the Malta Town Court, where she faced charges of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminal mischief, State Police said. She was reportedly released on her own recognizance…
