Will Cagle Announces Run for Cherokee County Commission

Will Cagle, a father of four, small business owner, and seventh-generation Cherokee County resident, has announced his candidacy for Cherokee County Commissioner Post 1.

Cagle, a lifelong Cherokee resident, said his platform is centered around fiscal responsibility, including creating “local think tanks” to develop “innovative, non-tax-based solutions” to fund services. He said one of his top priorities is reducing the tax burden on residents without compromising essential services.

“Cherokee County is a great place to live, and I believe we can take practical steps to reduce the financial strain on residents while continuing to provide the high-quality public services we all depend on,” Cagle said. “Public service runs in my family—my mother and grandmother were both teachers in the Cherokee County School District, my great uncle served as sheriff, and my son is a firefighter with Cherokee Fire. I have deep respect for the work our public servants do every day. I also understand the challenges these families—and many others—face due to rising taxes. As the Post 1 Commissioner, I’ll focus on balanced, responsible decisions that support our community and ease the burden on taxpayers.”…
