Prolific Pokémon card thief from Fresno gets caught

VISALIA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 30-year-old Pokémon card thief from Fresno was arrested after stealing between 100 and 120 packs of cards in Visalia, according to police.

Officers say the theft occurred Friday at around 9:50 a.m. at an ARCO AM/PM on North Dinuba Boulevard in Visalia. The suspect entered the store and stole a display case containing an estimated 100 to 120 packs of Pokémon cards. When employees attempted to stop the suspect, he showed them a hidden gun tucked into his waistband and the employees backed away to call 911. The suspect then fled the scene.

Investigators say the suspect was also responsible for similar thefts of Pokémon cards from businesses in the Fresno area. The suspect was later named as 30-year-old Michael Baker of Fresno…
