Deputy secretary Edgar joins HSI in Los Angeles drug operation arrest

On Friday, Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Troy Edgar participated in a warrant operation in Los Angeles, led by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), which concluded with the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker. The operation involved the execution of three state search warrants in La Puente, Pomona, and Compton, all part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activities related to cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine.

The suspect, Pedro Sainz Minjarez, was apprehended on charges related to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and conspiracy. The investigation is a collaborative effort involving the Riverside Sheriff’s Office, United States Customs and Border Protection, and the United States Marshals Service.
