“I had gotten a letter in the mail back in November of 2024, and it was a letter from Oscar (Health) Insurance, and it was stating that they were going to renew my health care policy,” Bedford said. “I had never enrolled with Oscar.”
She also said she didn’t know the agent whose name was associated with the policy. Confused, Bedford called the insurer to cancel the coverage. She thought the matter was resolved—until another letter arrived in early 2025 with new insurance cards.
