Fort Wayne invests nearly $100 million to put in end to neighborhood flooding

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) – The city of Fort Wayne is investing $95.5 million to take the necessary steps to replace pipes and water mains to reduce the amount of flooding local neighborhoods experience.

City officials announced the beginning of the multi-year projects across Fort Wayne starting in the northeast in the Sunny Meadows Neighborhood.

“What that means for the neighborhood is these problems are gone, it will improve their quality of life, it’s going to increase their property values, and it lets them know the city cares,” Northeast Partnership Chair Kyle Roemmich said…
