MERCED COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man tied to distributing methamphetamine in Merced County was sentenced to over two decades in prison Monday after being released and re-arrested for the same crime less than three years later, the DOJ said.
Per the DOJ, Raul Zamudio Hurtado, 42, of Oakdale, was sentenced to 22.5 years in prison for two counts of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, from two separate cases.
According to court documents, in May 2017, a group of gang members and associates in the Merced area was investigated for crimes of violence, drug sales, and illegal firearms possession. The DOJ says Hurtado was found to be the source of supply and was indicted…
