May starts with the risk for frost early before milder temperatures return

After reaching a summery record breaking high of 87 degrees Tuesday, which was the warmest day in Syracuse since August 27th, today was noticeably cooler with numbers only reaching the lower to middle 50s.

With a mostly clear sky giving way to thin clouds and hardly any wind, there is a threat for frost over portions of Central New York.
