SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A ninth budget extender has been signed to review the newly agreed-upon budget. Under the deal is a proposal to make community college free for New Yorkers aged 25 to 55 who pursue careers in high-demand fields.
“This will be for those who enter the high-demand fields of advanced manufacturing, health care, and education,” Governor Kathy Hochul said. “We have so many vacancies.”
