ESBON, Kan. (KCTV) – Dozens of dogs were rescued from “unimaginable conditions,” as dozens more were found deceased on a property in rural North-Central Kansas.
The Jewell County, Kansas, Sheriff’s Office tells KCTV5 News that on Wednesday, April 30, law enforcement officials and animal services representatives seized nearly 50 dogs from a home in Esbon. Around 50 dogs were found deceased on the same property about 250 miles west of Kansas City.
The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City said it also responded to the situation as teams worked to remove the dogs from “unimaginable conditions.” The dogs remain scared, sick and suffering. Donations have been asked for to fund treatment, transport, food and safety for the survivors…
