On April 27, 2025, at 1:53 pm, officers responded to the 300 block of Grand Canyon Drive for a report of a child who had been struck by a motor vehicle.
Upon arrival officers located a 2-year-old victim who had been struck by a vehicle backing out of a driveway. Officers rendered emergency medical assistance until being relieved by paramedics from the Bolingbrook Fire Department. The child was transported to a local hospital and remained in critical condition.
