Pop Star Taylor Swift Expected to Testify in Lively-Baldoni Lawsuit
Singer Taylor Swift is expected to be subpoenaed in the ongoing legal battle between actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. A source close to the situation stated Swift could be called to testify any day, adding that the singer has been anticipating the subpoena. Hugh Jackman, another close friend of Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, is also expected to be called to the stand.
The lawsuit stems from a complaint filed by Lively against Baldoni in December 2024. The complaint eventually escalated into a full lawsuit.
Swift’s involvement stems from her close friendship with Lively and Reynolds. Text messages between Lively and Baldoni, submitted as evidence, reportedly reveal Swift’s influence behind the scenes of a 2024 film directed by Baldoni and based on a popular novel.
In one message, Lively refers to Swift and Reynolds as her “creative barometers” and “dragons.” It is anticipated that Swift will testify about her role in the film’s development when the case goes to court next year.
