ALTAMONT, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Local honeybees were brought to Indian Ladder Farms on Wednesday for the annual pollination process of the apple orchards.

The hives were brought in from Rulison Honey Farms in Amsterdam. They were strategically placed throughout the orchard to ensure a thorough pollination.
Officials said the apple blooming period is just starting, and the hives will remain at the orchard for one week.
