Meet Kilo: A Bargain Pup faced with a Hidden Danger
Benjamin Rakestraw adopted his pup Kilo for just $50, but while Kilo might’ve been a steal, Benjamin quickly found himself facing a costly issue — ticks.
“He had a couple last year… right around this time when everything starts blooming and the bugs start coming out,” Rakestraw said.
Kilo, an energetic dog who loves chewing on tree twigs, unknowingly picks up ticks from grassy areas — a common hiding spot for these tiny terrors.
