High Point police officers cleared of wrongdoing in deadly officer-involved shooting at McDonald’s in December: DA

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Two High Point police officers won’t face charges related to an officer-involved shooting at the McDonald’s on Mall Loop Road in December that caused the death of Najeem Adrian Jordan.

According to the Guilford County District Attorney’s Office, officers were called to the McDonald’s after receiving several 911 calls concerning an “armed individual” inside the restaurant. One McDonald’s employee who called 911 told the dispatcher that the man, later identified as Jordan, was “cutting himself, licking his blood, and spitting blood on the windows.”
