A Villager was arrested on a drunk driving charge after her golf cart went off course.
Margie Delo, 63, of the Village of Rio Grande, was driving the black golf cart at about 8 p.m. Monday when it appeaers she was confused and stopped in the eastbound travel lane of Griffin Avenue, just east of Jeffrey Drive, where golf carts are prohibited, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
An officer spotted the golf cart and ascertained it was not Street Legal. Delo made a U-turn in the golf cart and began traveling west of Griffin Avenue. The officer initiated a traffic stop near the Jeffrey Gate.
