AKRON — The Rialto Theatre is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a series of anniversary shows throughout May.
Brothers Nate and Seth Vaill purchased the property at 1000 Kenmore Blvd. in 2010 as a space for their band to rehearse and record. According to the Vaills, stray cats would run in and out of gaps under the back door and the building was virtually an empty shell. But co-owner and general manager Seth Vaill said the building’s condition did not bother him.
“All I saw was potential,” said Vaill. “We bought the building, and using the financial resources we had, first opened the recording studio. Once the studio spaces began generating income, we started to build the theater.”…
