Allegations made against Dauphin County consultant Mike Musser II in a 2012 letter to county officials were “defamatory” and “replete with falsehoods,” according to a response letter written at the time by Musser’s attorney.
The response letter was sent after Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz, on Oct. 19, 2012, sent a letter to the Dauphin County Commissioners alleging Musser, who at the time oversaw the county’s gaming grant program, was pressuring municipalities to use a certain auditing firm if they wanted to continue receiving county grant funds.
The response letter, which Musser provided to PennLive, is dated Oct. 25, 2012 and was written by attorney Barbara Zemlock. It is addressed to the firm that made the original allegations, Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz, with the Dauphin County Commissioners copied…
