Buc Days robotics competition showcases Texas’ brightest young minds

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Robots, rivalry, and real-world innovation filled the American Bank Center on Wednesday as the Buc Days Robotics Competition kicked off its biggest event yet.

Students from across the Lone Star State traveled — some more than 20 hours — to compete. Their efforts are a culmination of months of building, troubleshooting, and teamwork.

“It took a long time,” said Adam Keller, a student at Hózhó Academy. “We had a lot of trial and errors — we had to rebuild (and) put this all back together because we did it wrong. It takes a lot of work, but going to the competiiton is fun and I really think it is worth it.”…
