Boise evicted an airport hotel. Now Ada Co. will auction it off with unpaid bills & bankruptcy mounting

A hotel near the Boise Airport is now in Ada County’s hands and set for auction amid its former owner contesting its eviction from airport property and filing for bankruptcy.

In February of 2024, the City of Boise gave the Airport Inn and Rodeway Inn notices to vacate city-owned property with the threat of eviction. The city cited concerns about illegal drug activity, a spike in police and EMS calls to the area, and what the city claimed were ‘several discrepancies’ in business practices.

Rodeway Inn stayed open after hiring an attorney and negotiating with the city to address illegal activity, but the Airport Inn closed as owner Reinard Pollmann, largely representing himself, fought the eviction in Ada County’s Fourth District court…
