Nampa man sentenced to over 4 years in prison for 2024 hotel shooting

BOISE, Idaho — A Nampa man who fired shots at police officers responding to his medical call has been sentenced to 52 months in federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm.

Santiago Prieto, 65, was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill, who also ordered three years of supervised release following imprisonment, according to a news release by the U.S. Public Information Officer.
