COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WJW ) – An “irresponsible” driver has been blamed for a bizarre pileup on an Ohio interstate on Wednesday afternoon.
Traffic cameras along a three-lane stretch of I-71 in Columbus captured the crash, which took place after a red vehicle traveling in the center lane slowed to a stop in the middle of the freeway, apparently having missed an off-ramp.
Two cars were then forced to stop behind the red vehicle, which sat in the center lane with its turn signal on. Then, another approaching vehicle, a silver van, was unable to stop and slammed into the rear car, causing a chain reaction of collisions…
