Kern County proclaims May as ‘Older Americans Month,’ set to host senior resource fair

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County is set to host a senior resource fair on Saturday in honor of “Older Americans Month” in May.

At the meeting on Tuesday, the Kern County Board of Supervisors proclaimed the month of May as “Older Americans Month” in Kern County. The month aims to celebrate the contributions of older Americans to the country, according to county officials.

The fair is set for May 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Kern County Aging and Adult Services Department, located at 5357 Truxtun Avenue.
