‘They say things are getting better’: Man stabbed on NYC subway

NEW YORK (PIX11) – A man was sent to the hospital after he was stabbed while on a D train in Greenwich Village.

PIX11 News has learned that some subway riders called 911, and others flagged police officers who were at this station, which is how they were able to reach the suspect, who was taken into custody.

Another violent rush-hour commute on the NYC subway. This time,  it happened on board a northbound D train as it was approaching the West 4 Street station, when police say a man was stabbed in the chest by another train rider.

“They say things are getting better, but every day there is something new,” said Lenny L. as he waited to board his train at this same station…
