Pair arrested in Mill Valley burglary suspected of belonging to crime ring

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office said Friday it arrested two suspected members of a burglary crew that targets workers inside business offices nationwide.

Adrian Thompson, 43, of Sacramento was arrested in Oakland on April 30 on suspicion of a Mill Valley burglary and on a $200,000 burglary warrant from Washington state, the sheriff’s office said. Riana Buffin, 28, of Oakland, was arrested in Oakland on a $150,000 theft warrant from Washington state, according to the sheriff’s office. Both were booked at Marin County jail.

The Mill Valley burglary occurred in December at a medical office where a man was seen loitering inside a therapist’s private office, the sheriff’s office said.
