After strong winds April 29 resulted in downed trees, property damage and power outages, the Greene County Assessor has extended the deadline for personal property assessments.
Greene County residents will now have until Friday, May 9, to file their assessment lists, according to a Greene County news release.
Personal property assessments were mailed in January and typically due by March 1 with the late penalty waived until May 1. Due to the timing of the storms and significant impacts on homes, vehicles and mail services, Greene County Assessor Brent Johnson has granted the extension.
