A father and son look forward to meeting people over burgers, pierogies, fried ravioli, onion rings, coffee and more at their Lehigh Valley food truck.
JR Stark and his son Nate operate year-round the Stark and Stark Catering food truck throughout the Lehigh Valley. Last month, a loan to help pay for day-to-day operating costs like buying ingredients as well as for new food truck equipment from the Rising Tide Community Loan Fund provided a new wind for the food truck to ride.
“We decided that we wanted to do something else, so we thought about what we wanted to do,” said JR Starck, who has prior catering experience as well as operated a CBD store that closed due to the pandemic. “We both loved to cook and we decided to start a catering business, basically. And then our ultimate goal was to get a food trailer because we really liked the idea of being able to travel around and do things, not being in the same building every day [and] meeting different people all over the place.”…
