Goldie Hawn Mourns the Loss of ‘Laugh-In’ Co-Star and Dear Friend, Ruth Buzzi
Beloved actress Goldie Hawn is mourning the passing of her longtime friend and former co-star, Ruth Buzzi, who died peacefully in her sleep on January 1st at the age of 88.
Hawn took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to Buzzi, with whom she shared the screen on the iconic comedy show “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In” in the late 1960s. “My Ruthie, you’re gone, and it hurts so deeply,” Hawn wrote, alongside a black-and-white photo of the two actresses.
She fondly recalled their frequent conversations and Buzzi’s unique ability to make her laugh. “You were my girlfriend, my heart through life’s ups and downs.
You made me laugh like no one else could,” the actress shared.
Hawn praised Buzzi’s talent and her ability to bring joy and laughter to the world. She reminisced about their shared laughter on the set of “Laugh-In,” memories she says she will cherish forever.
“Those deep, joyful laughs we shared, especially while making Laugh In, will stay with me forever,” Hawn stated. She concluded her post with a loving message: “I love you.

Hawn’s post was met with an outpouring of support from friends, family, and fellow celebrities, including her daughter, Kate Hudson, Demi Moore, and Rita Wilson, who all offered their condolences.
