SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across the region later this afternoon into the evening. A few thunderstorms may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and large hail. A brief weak spin up of a tornado also can’t entirely be ruled out however that threat is much lower compared to the damaging straight-line wind threat.
Torrential downpours will also be a possibility with any thunderstorm and ponding of water on roads and even some flash flooding may be seen. Urban and poor drainage…..
