AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Amarillo Fire Department crews responded to a structure fire early Saturday morning that damaged two homes on North Fairmont Street.
According to AFD, firefighters were dispatched at 3:34 a.m. to 101 and 103 N. Fairmont, arriving on the scene at 3:39 a.m. A second alarm was called one minute later due to heavy fire and smoke coming from both residences.

Officials detailed that one person was seen escaping from a window at 101 N. Fairmont and was assisted by fire crews. The victim was evaluated at the scene and did not require transport to the hospital. The adjacent home at 103 N. Fairmont was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
