HOUSTON — A man who lost his wife to cancer was found dead two days later. Family members said Nicolas Lestrer died of a broken heart.
The Texas Center for the Missing had issued a Houston Regional Silver Alert for Lestrer, who was known as Nico, after he walked away from his home on Thursday, one day after the death of his wife, Cristina.
He was found dead near a creek by their home on Friday. Family members said he died of a “broken heart.” His family said he was distraught and couldn’t handle losing the love of his life. Though they’re devastated, family members said they found comfort that Nico and Cristina are now together again…
