Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Recover 41 Firearms in Effort to Curb Gun Violence

The streets of Washington D.C. saw a sweep of activity from the Metropolitan Police Department last week as they focused on halting the circulation of illegal firearms. This initiative is a part of the department’s ongoing efforts to curb the violence that stems from gun-related crime within the city. In a span of one week, from Monday of last week to Monday of this week, MPD officers made considerable progress, recovering a total of 41 firearms.
