Elon Musk Slept on Office Couch

Additional Coverage:

Department of Government Efficiency Head Elon Musk revealed in a weekend interview with Lara Trump that he slept on an office couch during his first few weeks in Washington, D.C. Trump brought up the previously reported story, displaying a photo of a small couch during the interview. Musk simply explained that he “didn’t really have a good place to stay at the time.”

This isn’t the first time Musk has admitted to sleeping at the office. He has previously stated that he occasionally sleeps on a couch in a little-used library on the seventh floor of Twitter headquarters in San Francisco.

In 2018, he also told CBS that he sometimes sleeps at Tesla headquarters. One instance of his office slumber involved a conference room bench, which he explained away by citing his 120-hour work weeks and reliance on Ambien.

During the interview, Trump asked Musk directly if he regretted supporting Donald Trump’s presidency. Musk initially answered “yes,” then quickly changed his answer to “no,” eliciting laughter from Trump and a request from Musk to “cut that part” from the interview. He later explained that he was “trying to be funny” and reaffirmed his support for the former president, stating that a Trump victory was “essential for America to remain great.”

Musk went on to suggest that a Kamala Harris presidency would have led to the naturalization of large numbers of undocumented immigrants and the establishment of a one-party socialist state. He encouraged skepticism about his claims to be researched further.
