HENDERSONVILLE – After years of planning and construction, the renovation of Hendersonville’s historic 7th Avenue Depot District is officially completed.
The city held a celebratory street festival May 3, coinciding with the seasonal opening of the Hendersonville Farmer’s Market.
“This is a great day,” said Hendersonville Mayor Barbara Volk in remarks before a ceremonial ribbon cutting with city officials, business owners and construction contractors involved in the project, noting that this stretch of 7th Avenue was Hendersonville’s “original Main Street” in the city’s early days…
