Coastal Carolina wins their 11th straight Sun Belt Conference game, defeating App State 6-2

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) No. 19 Coastal Carolina clinched its sixth-straight Sun Belt Conference series with a 6-2 win over App State on Saturday afternoon at Springs Brooks Stadium.

The Chanticleers (36-11, 19-4 SBC) extended their conference win streak to 11 games and improved to 19-3 at home behind a strong performance from right-hander Cameron Flukey , who struck out nine over seven innings. Flukey (5-1) allowed five hits and two runs.

App State (21-25, 11-12 SBC) struck first with a run in the third, but Coastal answered with four in the bottom of the fourth. Domenico Tozzi tied the game with an infield RBI single, and the Chants kept the line moving with RBI hits from Colby Thorndyke and Wells Sykes , followed by a bases-loaded walk drawn by Walker Mitchell
