CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) – No. 19 Coastal Carolina clinched its sixth-straight Sun Belt Conference series with a 6-2 win over App State on Saturday afternoon at Springs Brooks Stadium.
The Chanticleers (36-11, 19-4 SBC) extended their conference win streak to 11 games and improved to 19-3 at home behind a strong performance from right-hander Cameron Flukey , who struck out nine over seven innings. Flukey (5-1) allowed five hits and two runs.
App State (21-25, 11-12 SBC) struck first with a run in the third, but Coastal answered with four in the bottom of the fourth.
